Bells Run cash is handed over to school and Acorns hospice
The 30th – and last – Bells Run in October 2019 raised a good profit, which has been divided between St Chad’s First School, Pattingham and the Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Cheques for £2,805 each were presented by the vicar, the Rev Preb Maureen Hobbs, at the family service in Church on December 1 – during which the school choir sang.
The first picture shows the cheque for St Chad’s School being handed to head teacher, Sarah Yeomans, while in the other picture Acorns representatives Kate and nurse Margaret receive the hospice’s cheque.
The school plans to buy a large interactive white board. The range of Acorns services for children and families in time of need was explained and their cash will go towards £7.5m annual costs.
