Flowers stir the senses in every way possible – colour, smell, shape, texture, form – they have it all.

‘Doing’ church flowers, as the saying goes, is a privilege which gives me enormous pleasure. The flower arrangements in church created by our lovely Guild ladies not only enhance the natural splendour of our beautiful church, but also give much pleasure to the congregation and our visitors.

After spending Easter with my family, I decided to pop into church for a quiet moment. And what a sight greeted me! I have never seen the church look more lovely. Stunning flower arrangements throughout the body of the church were an absolute delight and, at the altar stood the Easter lilies in all their magnificence, joyfully singing praises to the glory of our Lord – What joy! So uplifting!

How blessed are we to have such creativity and talent within our midst?

Did you see the Easter flowers in church?

If you, like me have a love of flowers, why not join the team at St. Chads?
