Snippets from the PCC Meetings – 14th March and 11th April 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

The PCC meetings on March 14 and April 11 were held in church. Among the matters discussed were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mission Action Plan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PCC has agreed the Mission Action Plan for 2023. This sets out the PCC\u2019s key objectives for 2023 and the actions which are to be taken to achieve them. It can be found on the church website (here<\/a>) and also on the notice board at the back of the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holiday Club<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately the Easter Holiday Club had to be cancelled as there were not enough applicants. We will be holding a Holiday Club in August at Kingswood and further details will be announced in due course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cupboards below the Adam and Eve window<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work by the Adam and Eve window at the back of the church has been completed. In addition to the new storage cupboards it also included the removal of the wooden pew platform and tiling of the floor with reclaimed tiles to match the existing ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cupboards and the tiling were the result of a generous donation by James and Elizabeth Gosling to mark their diamond wedding and the PCC is very grateful to them. (Report and pictures here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dementia Friendly Church<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of our journey to becoming a Dementia Friendly Church, Tracey Williams has been appointed as dementia co-ordinator and an action plan has been agreed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annual Church Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual meeting will be held in church on Sunday, May 21st at 11.30 am (after the morning service). Reports will be available on the church website in advance of the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The churchwardens, Deanery Synod representatives and members of the PCC will be elected at the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are vacancies for a number of PCC members and synod representatives. Anyone who is interested in finding out what is involved should ask any member of the PCC or look on the church website (here<\/a>) where there is some information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As with any organisation, the PCC regularly needs new members to ensure that the church in Pattingham and Patshull fulfils its mission of “following Christ in the footsteps of St Chad, by living out our faith; taking the church to the community and growing the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PCC members<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Current members of the PCC are: Philip Sims (chairman), Tony Ainsworth, Gordon Bramall, Iain Coleman, Geoffrey Dann, Henry lbberson, Clive Pendrell, Ken Scott, Alan Smith, Dorothy Steel and Tracey Williams.
