Snippets from the PCC Meeting – 17th October 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

The Parochial Church Council meeting on 17th October was held in church. Among the matters discussed were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vacancy<\/strong>
The advertisement for the half time appointment for our Vicar is ready for publication. It appeared in the Church Times during November and it is anticipated that interviews will take place in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deanery Synod<\/strong>
There was a report on the recent meeting of the Deanery Synod. Its main business was to look at how faith can be grown in school communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Various parishes within the deanery shared aspects of their work with children and schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These included Experience Christmas and Experience Easter (Pattingham), After School Club (Wombourne), school services both in school and church (Tettenhall Regis), the roles that Foundation Governors and SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) play in church schools and the Chaplaincy Team in Kinver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is hoped that we can learn from the experiences of others in developing our work with children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

St Chad\u2019s Mission Giving donations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PCC\u2019s practice is to make charitable donations equal to 10 per cent of its income from voluntary giving. The following donations have been made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
