Snippets from the PCC Meeting – 20th February 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n\n\n\n

The PCC meeting on 20th February was held in church and among the matters discussed were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fete<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keith and Alix, who are taking the lead in organising the fete, attended the meeting and shared their plans with the PCC. They have lots of exciting ideas and we look forward to a great day. It will be held on the first Saturday in July as usual \u2013 which will have lots for everyone to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As always this is a village event and is promoted by, and raising funds for, the church.
The date is 6th July and it will be called Pattingham Village Fete. Look out for more information as time goes on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be lots of opportunities to help so please volunteer if you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Young Responders<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Young Responders course was run successfully. Ten young people attended and enjoyed it and certificates were being presented at the Youth Service in church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parish News price<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The price of the Parish News has not been increased since 2022. The cover price will be increased to \u00a31 from this magazine, April, but the annual subscription will remain at \u00a38 for the current year. It will, however, be increased to \u00a310 from next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annual meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual church meeting will be held on Sunday 12th May. Prior to that meeting the church electoral roll has to be revised. There is no need for anyone who is already on the roll to do anything but any application to join the roll needs to be received by the Electoral Roll Officer by Thursday 25th April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a number of vacancies for members of the PCCwhich can be filled at that meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please consider whether you can help our church to fulfil its mission of \u201cfollowing Christ in the footsteps of St Chad, by living out our faith; taking the church to the community and growing the church\u201d by joining the PCC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
