This will be followed by a <strong>short service of Holy Communion,<\/strong> led by Revd Paul Brown, to which you are all most welcome. <strong>Coffee, tea and biscuits will be available after the service.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>At 2 pm<\/strong> the traditional <strong>Rogation Sunday Walk<\/strong> will leave from St Chad&#8217;s Church. After a walk of about 3.5 miles the walkers will arrive at <strong>St Mary&#8217;s Church, Patshull<\/strong> in time for refreshments before the service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>At 4.30 pm<\/strong> there will be a <strong>Rogation Sunday Service at St Mary&#8217;s Church, Patshull, <\/strong>which will be led by Iain Coleman. <strong>Refreshments will be served<\/strong> before the service. Arrangements have been made for those who are not taking part in the walk to get to Patshull Church from the Patshull Road. As this involves going through locked gates it will be necessary to travel together. Those who wish to do so should be at St Chad\u2019s Church lychgate by 3.30 pm, when we shall travel in convoy down the Patshull Road to enter the Estate by the main gate, formerly the entrance to the Hotel &amp; Golf Club. Any cyclists who wish to join the convoy should be at the main gate by 3.35 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <strong>Parish Prayer Diary<\/strong> we pray for:<br>All children and young people in the parish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <strong>Trysull Deanery Prayer Diary<\/strong> we pray for:<br>Good Shepherd, Castlecroft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"This_week\">This week<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The church will be open every day<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>Look out for the &#8220;church open&#8221; sign outside the porch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contractors are continuing work on various repairs and work to the church this week. The contractors will be working in and around the church. The church and churchyard will remain open but please take care while using them. Access to the toilets will be kept unlocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On Tuesday <\/strong><strong>Prayers for Peace<\/strong> will be said in church at <strong>6 pm<\/strong>. Please do join us and if you would like more information or are willing to lead a session, please contact Mary Hayward (<a href=\"mailto:maryleah@hotmail.co.uk\">maryleah@hotmail.co.uk<\/a>)<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On Wednesday<\/strong> at <strong>10.00 am<\/strong> there will be a service of <strong>Holy Communion<\/strong> according to the Book of Common Prayer, led by Revd Paul Brown, in church which will be followed by tea, coffee and cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After the service<\/strong> the church will be open<strong> from 10.30 am<\/strong> until at least 11.00 am as a <strong>Place of Welcome<\/strong> when anyone who wants to will be welcome to share in the coffee, cake and chat, whether they have been to the service or not. Those attending will receive a warm welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At <strong>6 pm<\/strong> the <strong>Pattingham Shower Singers<\/strong> meet in church. All are welcome &#8211; just come and sing and have fun! The churchwardens and up to six members of the PCC will be elected. Nomination forms for Churchwardens and Elected PCC Members are on the church website and at the back of the church. The Annual Report and Financial Statements and the agenda, minutes of last year&#8217;s meetings and other reports will be available from Sunday 5th May. They will be on the church website (at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pattinghamchurch.org.uk\/web\/information\/pcc-news-and-reports\/pcc-reports\/\">https:\/\/www.pattinghamchurch.org.uk\/web\/information\/pcc-news-and-reports\/pcc-reports\/<\/a>) and at the back of the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The revision of the <strong>Church Electoral Roll<\/strong> has been completed. The revised roll can be checked on the church door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Fete\"><a><\/a>Village Fete \u2013 Saturday 6th July, midday onwards<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As we hurtle headlong towards summer, the village fete will soon be upon us.&nbsp; Plans are coming together nicely and advertising and competition entry forms will be circulating from the beginning of May.&nbsp; Entry forms will be available from either Le Salon, the Co-Op, The Pigot or the back of the church. Many have lost all they have including items needed for school. Jane Whittall has a friend who is able to transport supplies to Ukraine and is looking for filled pencil cases to help such children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So to help a child in one of Ukraine\u2019s bombed out schools get back to normality can you help fill a pencil case with the following items?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Boys\/Girls pencil case<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pencils<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pencil sharpener<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ruler<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rubber<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glue stick<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coloured crayons<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Small note book.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are able to help there is a clearly marked box at the back of Church where you can place your contribution. As Alan says in his View from the Pews above your gifts do make a difference to those who find life a real struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The box remains at the rear of the church for donations of food and toiletries and the wishing well for donations of cash. Foreign coins can be put into the wishing well (in a separate bag please) and they will also go to help the needy in Wolverhampton.
