Fete Day is Saturday, July 6: please do join us for a day of family fun to cele-brate our beautiful village and community!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are able to help for an hour or two on the day do get in touch with Alix and Keith \u2013 there are all kinds of jobs and some can be done sitting down so please do offer your support and contact them at alixjones.email@gmail.com. Helpers will receive a thank-you voucher for a well-earned drink at the end of the day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As young people all over the country complete their summer exams, we send our best wishes to them all, hoping they can now find some time to relax after all their hard work. And what better way than to come and have fun on our Fete Day. We also send best wishes to all staff and children in schools, that they enjoy their summer break. We pray for the pupils and staff of St. Chad\u2019s First School, especially all \u2018leavers\u2019 as they move onto new adventures!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are going to advertise again for a new vicar and hope this time the person whom God is calling responds to the call. We will keep you updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please do contact us if you or anyone you know is unable to get to church but would like to receive home Communion; we would be happy to arrange this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We continue to support Ukraine with our prayers, do join us in church for 15 minutes of Prayers for Peace, every Tuesday 6pm, to pray for the people of Ukraine and for peace in all zones of war and conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, we share the following prayer for all whose lives are affected by dementia, published in Chadnet last week. If you would like to suggest or write a prayer for inclusion in Chadnet, please contact Tracey Williams who is our parish safeguarding officer and our dementia-friendly church co-ordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Be close to those who,
Growing old, are afraid
of what the future holds.
Grant them the strength
for daily tasks, and more,
a joy of life that can rise
above its aches and pains,
and by your Holy Spirit
become a daily blessing
to all who they shall meet.
