‘Churchwardens’ Chat’<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

We are now in an interregnum following the retirement of the Vicar and so the monthly letter for the Parish News is written by the Churchwardens<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after you \u2026<\/em><\/strong>
Martin Nystrom, published 1984, quoted for a friend and his wonderful family- our prayers are with you all!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our fete day was a very enjoyable and successful day and we are grateful to Alix and Keith for their hard work over many months to achieve this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We especially want to thank all the volunteers and everyone from the whole community who attended to support the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking of volunteers, have you thought about the beautiful flowers in church? Could you \u2026 would you \u2026 join our group of volunteers who arrange these flowers? We don’t need ‘experts’ just people who love flowers, are willing to learn from our more experienced volunteers and ‘have a go’!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You only need to spare time a few times a year because the more people we have, the less frequent the commitment to help. Full support is given; contact Dorothy, Clive or Margaret Harris for more details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are happy to arrange for those unable to get to church to receive Home Communion, do get in touch with Dorothy, Clive or Ken and we shall arrange this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What terrible weeks of violence we have seen around the world. We continue to support Ukraine with our prayers: join us for 15 minutes of Prayers for Peace, every Tuesday 6pm in church, to pray for the people of Ukraine and for peace in all zones of war and conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we share the following date for your diary: Saturday, October 12, in the Village Hall, a free event for the whole community where you can learn more about dementia, have a cup of tea, meet people and find information about where support can be gained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
