How can it be when everything keeps growing and changing?

If we think of each plant in the garden representing a person, unique and beautiful in their own way, we can celebrate the diversity of plants as we can of people. Like every plant each person is a celebration made and loved by God the supreme Gardener.

We aim for St. Chad’s to be a place of inclusion for all no matter if they have faith or no faith or belong to a different denomination. We are a member of Wolverhampton Interfaith and share its ethos.

Like a plant growing in a garden each person young or old is unique, needs something different, blossoms in differing ways and yet flourishes in a community. Being an inclusive church means everyone can be fully themselves and fully included because God made us each uniquely and loves all of us unconditionally.

You may think ‘church’ is a building no matter how beautiful and well maintained it is but we should think of it more as a garden . Making the effort to come to church and join with others grows our relationships with them but mainly with God the gardener.

When you plant something new in the garden the garden changes. Here at St. Chad’s we have made changes to our style of worship, our music, our outreach and have been joined by new people. When we worship, sing and pray together we grow God’s garden but remember it’s not finished without you!

Jill Parker

Would you like to write a View from the Pews?

We welcome contributions for View from the Pews from anyone who would like to write one.
