The 2024 fete was held on Saturday 6th July<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new format was a great success and we are very grateful for all the hard work put in by Alix and Keith and their army of volunteers. The net proceeds are about \u00a35,500 compared to \u00a33,100 last year. The final figure and the breakdown will be in next week\u2019s ChadNet and on the church website once it\u2019s available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A big thank you to the various sponsors of the event, notably the Mercers and Berriman Eaton, and everybody who turned up on the day to help, including the ATC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The raffle and bottle stall were particularly successful from a monetary point of view and the new attractions such as hook a duck, name the teddy and play your cards right were successful. Thanks also to the refreshment people (there were a lot of cakes!) and those who donated raffle prizes. It was a bit hairy setting up in the pouring rain in the morning but it all came together in the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sun shone to make fete day to be a great success<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The sun shone – generally – and the crowds came. The 2024 village fete was a great success, raising more than \u00a35,500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stalls, many of them new to the fete, were kept busy and the competitions had good entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organisers thank everyone who going on since January- during and after, to make it the great success it undoubtedly was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And of course to all those who attended to help beat last year’s figure by more than \u00a32,500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next year’s date is Saturday, July 5!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
