I want to invite compassion<br>into every interaction.<br>One willing heart can\u2019t stop a war.<br>One willing heart can\u2019t feed all the hungry.<br>And sometimes daunted by a task too big,<br>I tell myself, What\u2019s the use of trying?<br><br>But today the invitation is clear: to be ridiculously courageous in love.<br>To open my heart like a lilac in May,<br>knowing freeze is possible and opening anyway.<br>To take love seriously.<br>To give love wildly.<br>To race up to the world as if I were a puppy,<br>adoring and unjaded, stumbling on my own exuberance.<br>To feel the shock of indifference, of anger, of cruelty , of fear,<br>and stay open.<br><br>To love as if it matters, as if the world depends on it.<\/em><br><br>So there\u2019s an answer worth dwelling upon as we approach a new era for our Church and community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Henry Ibberson<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Would you like to write a View from the Pews?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We welcome contributions for View from the Pews from anyone who would like to write one. Please do join us and if you would like more information or are willing to lead a session, please contact Mary Hayward (<a href=\"mailto:maryleah@hotmail.co.uk\">maryleah@hotmail.co.uk<\/a>)<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On Wednesday<\/strong> at&nbsp;<strong>10.00 am<\/strong> there will be a service of <strong>Holy Communion<\/strong> according to the Book of Common Prayer, led by Revd Sue Watson, in church which will be followed by tea, coffee and cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After the service<\/strong> the church will be open<strong> from 10.30 am<\/strong> until at least 11.00 am as a <strong>Place of Welcome<\/strong> when anyone who wants to will be welcome to share in the coffee, cake and chat, whether they have been to the service or not. Those attending will receive a warm welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At <strong>6 pm<\/strong> on <strong>Wednesday<\/strong> the <strong>Pattingham Shower Singers<\/strong> meet in church. All are welcome &#8211; just come and sing and have fun! The process is now underway and the formal notice is displayed in the church porch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Everyone who wishes to be on the roll will need to complete a form which needs to be returned by the deadline of Monday 21st April.
