Christopher Wordsworth (1807- 1885), written when he was a parish priest in Berkshire<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\nWe enjoyed a joyous Easter, the flowers in church were wonderful, the music and bells helped us to appreciate the time in worship and praise we shared together, and the children did a great job finding the hidden chocolate eggs in our egg hunt!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Easter Sunday evening, there was a real party atmosphere in church as we celebrated the years of service and spiritual support we have received from Dr. Ken Scott, who has stepped down from his formal role as Reader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ken, his wife Anne and their family joined a full church to share memories, prosecco and cake! Thanks to everyone for joining us for this lovely evening, we are truly grateful to Ken and Anne for all the time they share with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You will have heard our amazing news that the Rev Merry Smith has accepted the post of Vicar of St. Chad’s Pattingham with Patshull. We will share more news about her starting date when this has been agreed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are you available to help as a volunteer for a couple of hours to help us on Fete Day, July 5? If so, please get in touch and be sure to look out for where you can buy a raffle ticket!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
