Several key aims are included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>reaching out to children and families to involve them in church services, activities and events<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>completing the reordering of the North Aisle to provide a flexible space<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>organising or supporting events for the community and for the community to be involved in church activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>increasing pastoral resource and support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reviewing and developing the variety of worship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>developing work as a Dementia Friendly Church<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>continuing to work towards gaining the Gold EcoChurch award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>increasing donations and voluntary giving and extending volunteers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mission Action Plan is on the church website for those who want to look at it in more detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Christmas cards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will again be a Christmas card from the church which will be delivered to all homes in the parish. It will include details of the Christmas services and other church services in December as well as a message from the Vicar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The front cover will be the winning entry from a Christmas Art competition which is open to all children and young people up to and including school year 8 (that is under 14 on September 1st this year). The closing date is Monday October 20 and more details are elsewhere in this magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vicar<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was the first meeting attended by our new Vicar, the Rev Merry Smith.
