At this meeting we agreed the following donations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cancer Research &#8211; \u00a3200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compton Care Group &#8211; \u00a3300<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acorns Children\u2019s Hospice &#8211; \u00a3300<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Christian Aid &#8211; \u00a3300<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Embrace the Middle East &#8211; \u00a3300<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good Shepherd Ministry &#8211; \u00a3350<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Overseas Missionary Fellowship &#8211; \u00a3250<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>St Chad&#8217;s School &#8211; \u00a3350<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Haven &#8211; \u00a3350<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Well &#8211; \u00a3350<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>World Vision &#8211; \u00a3200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salvation Army &#8211; \u00a3200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the Children &#8211; \u00a3200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dementia UK &#8211; \u00a3200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Midlands Air Ambulance &#8211; \u00a3150<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staffordshire Historic Churches Trust &#8211; \u00a3150<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DEBRA (Butterfly Skin Charity) &#8211; \u00a3200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Bible Society &#8211; \u00a3100<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNICEF Gaza Appeal &#8211; \u00a3250<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNICEF Ukraine Appeal &#8211; \u00a3250<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alzheimer&#8217;s Society &#8211; \u00a3200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>USPG (United Society Partners in the Gospel) &#8211; \u00a3200<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>TOTAL &#8211; \u00a35,350<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition the profits from some events have been given to particular causes. The Much Wenlock male voice choir concert in July raised \u00a3350 each for The Well and the Association of Ukrainians in GB and Hymns and Pimm\u2019s in September raised \u00a3356 for The Haven. There was a collection for the Farming Community Network at Harvest which raised \u00a3276.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At some services the collection is for a specific charity. Those include:<br>Rogation Sunday at Patshull \u2013 Churches Conservation Trust<br>Remembrance Sunday \u2013 Royal British Legion<br>Christingle \u2013 The Children\u2019s Society<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scarecrow Festival<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total profit from the Scarecrow Festival was expected to be about \u00a318,900. Out of those proceeds the following amounts will be given to village organisations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Christmas Lights the Village Centre \u00a32,500<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allotments \u2013 for raised beds \u00a33,500<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Village Hall \u2013 for small hall floor and curtains \u00a34,500<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>St Chad\u2019s School \u2013 for iPads \u00a33,500<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The balance (about \u00a35,000) will be allocated to the church. Of that \u00a3864, which is equivalent to the profit from the Brass Band concert, will be shared between Midland Freewheelers Blood Bikes and Village by Village. The balance will be used for a project which is yet to be decided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Scarecrow Festival was incredibly successful, not just financially but also in the way that it brought the village together and provided a wonderful day \u2013 or days \u2013 out for the many visitors who came to see the scarecrows.
