Those who go to Patshull this Sunday will be able to see the war graves in the churchyard and also the war memorial. There is also, as at Pattingham, a roll of all those who served in the First World War and survived.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many people will have seen the memorials within the church to those in the local area who made the ultimate sacrifice during the World Wars. This will be preceded by <strong>tea, coffee and cake<\/strong> which constitute appropriate post walk refreshments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clive will lead a convoy of cars from Pattingham&nbsp;for&nbsp;those not walking &#8211; meet at the&nbsp;lychgate at St Chad&#8217;s at 4.00 pm. This is not a week when the group meets but some members of the group will be in church to say prayers. Anyone is welcome to join them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On Wednesday<\/strong> at <strong>10.00 am<\/strong>&nbsp;there will be a service of <strong>Holy Communion<\/strong> according to the Book of Common Prayer, led by the vicar, in church which will be followed by tea, coffee and cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After the service<\/strong> the church will be open<strong> from 10.30 am<\/strong> until at least 11.00 am as a <strong>Place of Welcome<\/strong> when anyone who wants to will be welcome to share in the coffee, cake and chat, whether they have been to the service or not. Those attending will receive a warm welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At <strong>6 pm<\/strong> on <strong>Wednesday&nbsp;<\/strong>the <strong>Pattingham Shower Singers<\/strong> meet in church. All are welcome &#8211; just come and sing and have fun! Anyone interested in joining the choir should contact Martin Fox or any member of the choir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thursday is Ascension Day.<\/strong> At <strong>7.30 pm<\/strong> there will be a service of <strong>Holy Communion for Ascension Day<\/strong>, led by the vicar, in church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>Friday<\/strong> from <strong>10 am to 12 noon<\/strong> the <strong>Home Instead <\/strong><strong>Memory Caf\u00e9<\/strong> is being held at the <strong>Village Hall<\/strong>. These are free informal sessions designed for individuals living with dementia and their carers to meet in a relaxed environment. Enjoy simple, engaging activities, while connecting with others who understand&nbsp;the challenges of dementia. No need to book. Just pop along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Next_Sunday\">Sunday 17th May &#8211; Sunday after Ascension &#8211; Easter 7<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>At 10 am <\/strong>there will be a <strong>service led by the Youth Group<\/strong> in church. This will be followed by a <strong>short service of Holy Communion,<\/strong> led by Rev Allen Roberts, to which you are all most welcome. <strong>Coffee, tea and biscuits will be available after the service.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <strong>Parish Prayer Diary<\/strong> we pray for those who live and work in:<br>Rudge Road, Lower Rudge, Spoonley Gate, Upper Ludstone, Worcester Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <strong>Trysull Deanery Prayer Diary<\/strong> we pray for:<br>St Michael and All Angels, Tettenhall Regis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"WC\">William Cole RIP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We were saddened to learn of the sudden death of William Cole, Lay<br>Reader at Trysull, and send condolences to to Revd Richard Fisher and all William&#8217;s family. We are keeping all in the Smestow Vale&nbsp;Ministry Team in our prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"CAM\">Church Annual Meeting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Annual Church Meeting<\/strong> will be held in church at <strong>11.30 am<\/strong> on <strong>Sunday 31st May<\/strong> (after the 10 o\u2019clock service).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At that meeting there will be various reports on the activities of the church as well as presentation of the Annual Report and Accounts for 2025. The churchwardens, three representatives to the Deanery Synod and&nbsp;up to six members of the PCC will be elected. Nomination forms for Churchwardens, Deanery Synod Representatives&nbsp;and Elected PCC Members are on the church website and at the back of the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Annual&nbsp;Report and Accounts will be&nbsp;on the church website this week. The other reports will be on the website from 21st May and hard&nbsp;copies will&nbsp;be at the back of the church from 23rd May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"concert\">Concert by&nbsp;Shifnal and District Male Voice Choir<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This will take place in church on <strong>Saturday 20th June<\/strong> at <strong>7.30 pm<\/strong>. Tickets are \u00a315 and include a glass of Prosecco or non alcoholic alternative. Under 16\u2019s free if accompanied by a paying adult. Proceeds will be split between the church, the Well and Wolverhampton Interfaith. Tickets available from Alan Smith or any member of the PCC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"rotas\">Rotas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I will be drawing up the rotas for July to September in the next couple of&nbsp;weeks.
