This<br \/>\nwas not fully achieved in 2015 and 2016 and so this year we increased the amount we donate to take account of that.<br \/>\nOur donations for this year are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overseas\n<ul>\n<li>Overseas Mission Fellowship \u00a3350<\/li>\n<li>Navigators \u00a3350<\/li>\n<li>World Vision \u00a3250<\/li>\n<li>Us (formerly USPG) \u00a3250<\/li>\n<li>Embrace the Middle East \u00a3250<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Home\n<ul>\n<li>Compton Hospice \u00a3200<\/li>\n<li>Staffordshire Historical Churches \u00a3100<\/li>\n<li>The Haven \u00a3100<\/li>\n<li>Air Ambulance \u00a3300<\/li>\n<li>Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd Trust (soup kitchen) \u00a3500<\/li>\n<li>Pattingham Parent &amp; Toddler Group \u00a3100<\/li>\n<li>St Chad\u2019s School \u00a3300<\/li>\n<li>Salvation Army \u00a3150<\/li>\n<li>Wolverhampton Home Start \u00a3150<\/li>\n<li>Alzheimer\u2019s Society \u00a3100<\/li>\n<li>St Alban\u2019s Church, Ashmore Park \u00a3500<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Total overseas \u00a31,450<\/li>\n<li>Total home \u00a32,500<\/li>\n<li>Overall total annual donations \u00a33,950<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Finance<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is also the time of year when we review various fees which are charged and payments made by the PCC. Most of the fees for weddings and funerals are fixed nationally but there are some which we decide. We have reviewed those. Some have not been changed and others have been increased in line with inflation.<\/p>\n<p>The treasurer is optimistic that we will finish the year with a small surplus in our general fund. This is partly due to the fact that as the heating system was not working for most of the year we have not been using any gas \u2013 until October.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fabric<\/strong><br \/>\nThe heating system has been partially installed.  The chancel and centre aisle are complete and provide adequate heating. The contractors will return in January to complete the two outside loops.<\/p>\n<p>Planning for the reordering of the Lady Chapel is continuing and we may be in a position to finalise the proposals soon. Once the heating system is complete we will more easily be able to consider the various other projects which we would want to undertake.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Diocese<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Bishop of Lichfield launched a new diocesan vision \u201cCome follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad\u201d earlier this year. The diocese is now consulting on the Next Steps to take and we have responded to that.<\/p>\n<p>The Diocese has recently revised its Safeguarding Policy. This relates both to those who are under 18 and also to vulnerable adults.
