Accounts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We have finally received the approved accounts from the Independent Examiner. They are now available in church and on the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There will be a (hopefully) brief meeting after the morning service on 15th<\/sup> September when they can be discussed and formally received. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Harvest Supper at the Dartmouth Arms<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To build on the success of the event last year, arrangements are in hand for a Harvest Supper at the Dartmouth Arms in Burnhill Green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It will be on Monday 23rd<\/sup> September and admission will be by ticket, the charge for which will be donated to the Farming Community Network, which is a voluntary organisation and charity that supports farmers and families within the farming community through difficult times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ideas from Young Church<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Young Church group, which meets during the morning service on the 2nd<\/sup> and 4th<\/sup> Sundays of the month, has come up with a number of ideas which the PCC has considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some of them might be described as \u201cblue sky thinking\u201d – or even total fantasy \u2013 such as a travelator up the church path for older people and a zip wire from the steeple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Many of them, however, are ideas which may be possible \u2013 such as using the church for various sorts of community events \u2013 and we will be looking into those.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bells Run<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Planning is well underway for the Bells Run which is being held on 6th<\/sup> October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is the last Bells Run and the profits will be shared between Acorns and St Chad\u2019s School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We hope that this will be successful, both as a community event and in raising much needed funds for both of those organisations; and to that end some money will be spent on advertising it to seek to attract as many runners as possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Previous meeting – Next meeting – Index Snippets from the PCC meeting – 23rd July 2019 Among the items discussed at the July meeting of the PCC were: Accounts We have finally received the approved accounts from the Independent Examiner.
