The PCC\u2019s meeting on 3rd August was held in church. This was the first full meeting which has not been by video since March 2020. Among the items discussed were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Effect of easing of restrictions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n As there had been only two Sundays since the Covid restrictions had been eased it was not possible to come to any informed conclusion about the effectiveness of the changes which had been made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n No particular difficulties had become apparent and so the arrangements agreed in July will continue but will be kept under review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Streaming of services would, it was decided, cease at the end of August, the last streamed service being the Family Service on 29th<\/sup> August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was decided that coffee after the Sunday morning service would restart from 5th<\/sup> September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Evening services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n For the foreseeable future there will be evening services on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. The service in the evening of 26th<\/sup> September will be a Songs of Praise service for harvest and the Scarecrow Festival<\/p>\n\n\n\n Annual Report and Accounts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n You will remember that the accounts were not ready when we held the Annual Meeting in April. They have now been signed by the Independent Examiner and approved by the PCC and are now available on the church website and at the back of the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There will be a (hopefully brief) meeting after the evening service on 12th<\/sup> September to receive the report and accounts. All are welcome to attend that meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Interregnum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The processes which need to happen before we can start to find a new vicar are continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An important part is the work of the deanery Shaping for Mission team, which is coming towards the point when their reports will be presented to the diocese and the bishop for consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They will then make various decisions which will include how to fill the vacancy for a vicar in Pattingham with Patshull.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sale of pews<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We have now sold all nine of the non fixed pews which we were authorised to sell as they were no longer needed.
