The PCC\u2019s meeting on 9th November was held in church. Among the items discussed were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Area by the Adam and Eve window.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Diocesan Advisory Committee has issued its formal advice to recommend approval of our plans to improve the area by the Adam and Eve window (between the choir vestry and the west door) by removing the pew and installing oak cupboards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A faculty has now been applied for and the formal notice is displayed in church and on the door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The final decision will be taken by the Chancellor (the judge of the diocesan court which decides these matters) but it cannot be considered until after the closing date for objections, which is 11th December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shaping for Mission.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The deanery team has presented its proposals to the Bishop and the Archdeacon and we wait for the decision as to whether those proposals are accepted by the diocese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once that decision is made we may be in a position to start to fill the vacancy for our Vicar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Services in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first live Youth Service for more than 18 months was held on 31st October and proved highly successful, with a good number of young people attending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The service had been postponed for two weeks to accommodate an attendance by the Bishop of Wolverhampton at morning service on 17th October; that service was also very well received and a good contact was made with the Bishop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The excellent All Souls Service on the evening of 31st October, conducted by lain Coleman, was well attended and again received many compliments from those who attended. As usual with this service many of those who came were not regular attenders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Verger.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Mandy Allsebrook has been appointed as verger.
