St Chad’s Church Holiday Club 2017
Mega Makers
This year’s Church Holiday club took place on 15th – 17th August , it was called “Mega Makers”. 31 children aged between 4 and 9 attended. They listened to bible stories, they watched a child friendly DVD version of the stories. They also watched drama scenes acted out by our younger volunteers.
They made lots of fun craft activities that were relevant to the bible stories that they learnt over those three days. They got to take home what they had made at the end of the three days. The children learnt a song and actions to the songs that went with this year’s church holiday club theme.
The three days were split into 5 sessions.
Session 1 – Wider and wider
Letting you know how wide Jesus’s love is.
They made craft items that went with this session, a Jesus loves you plates and an invitation from Jesus.
Session 2 – Deeper and deeper
Letting you know how Deep Jesus’s love is.
They made craft items that went with this session, a boat that Jesus calms the sea.
Session 3 – Stronger and stronger
Letting you know how Strong Jesus’s love is
They made craft items that went with this session, paper chain and Jesus heals card
Session 4 – Greater and greater
Letting you know how Great Jesus’s love is.
They made craft items that went with this session, Love letter from Jesus and Jesus dies for us book mark.
Session 5 – For ever and ever
Letting you know that Jesus’s love is ever lasting and will go on for ever and ever.
They made craft items that went with this session, Jesus’s Tomb and Jesus on a cardboard roll.
