Mrs Wilhelm Rose opens 2016 Fete…
The Pattingham Church Fete was opened this year by Mrs Wilhelm Rose MBE, who’s birthday this year matched that of the Queen… her 90th. Congratulations !
The attendance was approximately 430 people, giving a profit of £4,200. Well done, Kate and all those that helped in anyway.
Most of the new stalls did really well. The Pimms and Prosecco was very successful, helped by the sunshine arriving just in time! The larger Farmers Market was popular with Produce stall was just as successful as ever (over £700), with the Free Range Eggs and Preserves stalls both also selling out through the afternoon. Vintage Vinyl did really well also, making over £100 – which is a great achievement for a first time stall. The bags went well, being sold not only on their own stand but also on the Produce and Cakes stall – so we look forward to seeing many more ‘old bags from Pattingham’ walking around the village! In terms of attractions, the cars (of course) were a huge success with many people commenting on them; Toby, our new guitarist, entertained us through the afternoon; and it was lovely to see the school choir enthusiastically singing for us later on. The date for next year’s Fete will be Saturday 1st July 2017.
