View from the Pews

A guardian angel is a type of angel that is assigned to protect and guide a person or group. The guardian angel concept is present in the Hebrew bible and the Old Testament. Do you believe such angels exist?
I was 18 and driving my father’s van and turning off the main A449 road from Wolverhampton to Kidderminster into Gilbert Lane leading into Wombourne village. At that time, it was a one vehicle track with a sharp 90-degree bend ahead.
As I approached the bend a loud deep voice from the back of the van shouted, “Terry Stop!!” My hair stood on end and a feeling of terror ran down my spine. At that very moment, a double decker bus took the bend at speed, with no room for me. I turned to look in the back of the van, but of course I could see no one. What was the voice that warned me of the danger ahead? Was it my guardian angel?
I drove home and my mother asked me what on earth was the matter as I was in a complete state of shock.
Do you believe in guardian angels?
I certainly do.
God Bless
Terry Mackriel

Dementia Friendly Church
Weekly Prayer
For carers in this world,
young and old,
whose love, time and freedom,
sometimes childhood is given
sacrificially for one who is in need.
May they know your blessing, through good
days and bad, and receive as they are given
love in good measure,
flowing as a gentle river
into their hearts and lives.
AMEN
(Faith & Worship)
