View from the Pews

Jesus said “I go to prepare a place for you” John Chapter 14 v2
I pause to wonder – should I dare,
what kind of place Christ will prepare.
Greatness I dream not as my share,
true joy will be just being there.
No mansion do I wish to live.
To see my Lord is all I wish.
With faithful loved-ones gone before.
Together we shall all adore
our Saviour’s love and sacrifice,
whilst in the presence of The Christ.

Dementia Friendly Church
Weekly Prayer

God of the heart and of mind,
you know us completely;
though memory fades
your spirit dwells within us.
You are present in the glimpses of hope,
and with us in the joy and uncertainty of new seasons.
In the sadness and the loss
your steadfast love enfolds us;
your faithfulness endures
’til journey’s end
where you have prepared a place for us.
Give us your peace and help us grow
in your likeness each and every day
through the grace of your Son our Saviour,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
