St Chad’s as a Church is a member of Wolverhampton Interfaith and will be celebrating Interfaith Week which runs from 8th to 15th November this year. This week is a National event started in 2009 and here will end with the Annual Conference on Saturday 14th November at The Royal School, Penn Road with Bishop Tim leading us in prayer. It is entitled “You don’t all have to look the same, you don’t have to speak the same but you can all love the same”.
Building good relationships and working partnerships between people of different faiths and those with none increases understanding between people of religion and those without. If you weren’t born in this country would you have the faith you have?
One blood – although we have different skin.
The pulse of life beats in all our hearts,
Regardless of the wars which tear apart.
People all bleed the same colour within,
The human race is one we can win.
The worlds rivers run into one ocean
And we have the same needs and emotions
To give up on ourselves would be a sin.
The world is not separate warring states,
One people, one kingdom and one planet
Hearts filled with love and not full of granite
And we must stop the misery of hate.
One blood – come together and celebrate,
Tears of pain, replaced by laughter and mirth.
It is time to prove humanity’s worth
One blood – shared lives, together in one fate.
Poem “One Blood” by Ian Henery
IFW has regular events but one of our aims is to educate young people and to that end we go into schools and give presentations on different faiths and also arrange visits to places of worship From January to June 2026 there have been 26 visits to different places of worship and five in school presentations on ten different faiths involving 1,980 children. We answer requests from schools tailoring them to their needs.
1 Peter 3:15 “Always be prepared to give answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope you have . But do this with gentleness and respect.”
As Christians we pray by working together we can shine the light we have to all we meet.

The Well – the Wolverhampton Food Bank

A message from The Well.
As this year’s Harvest Festival comes to an end, we just wanted to take a moment to say a huge, heartfelt thank you.
Once again, we’ve been overwhelmed by the generosity of our wonderful community.
This year, 58 schools, churches and businesses came together to support The Well, donating an incredible 7,151.5 kg of food and essential supplies.
That’s over 7 tonnes of donations, which will make such a difference as we prepare for the colder winter months ahead.
Behind every donation is someone who has taken the time to think of others. Whether you’ve organised a collection, encouraged others to give or simply donated what you could, please know how much it means to us.
A special thank you to our Harvest supporters.
We wanted to recognise the many schools, churches and businesses who have supported us this Harvest, so we’ve created a special thank-you on our website to celebrate everyone who has been involved.
SEE OUR WONDERFUL HARVEST SUPPORTER
As we celebrate 20 years of The Well, we’re reminded of how blessed we are to have so many people willing to come alongside us.
Because of you, we can continue providing food and essential supplies to individuals and families across Wolverhampton who are facing difficult times.
Thank you for helping us share hope and show the love of Jesus in such a practical way.
With heartfelt thanks and every blessing,
The Well Team

Dementia Friendly Church
Weekly Prayer

Lord , I am what I am.
I give thanks for the life I’ve had;
For the memories that will live on
Through others when I remember no more;
For the love of family and friends
Who will go on loving me when
I no longer show that I love or care;
For the care-givers, the doctors and nurses
Who are with me and will be with me
Every step of the way.
I am what I am.
I have been nurtured by you, Lord,
And give thanks for the fact that
You love me – for who I was,
For who I am, for what I become.
We can walk this path together
Hand in hand:
I know I am not alone, that you
Will be by my side always.
Amen
