Snippets from the PCC Meeting – 16th April 2024 – and Annual Meeting – 12th May 2024
PCC Meeting – 16th April 2024
The PCC meeting on 16th April was held in church and among the matters discussed were:
Health and Safety
There is a need to keep Health and Safety under review. Risk assessments have been completed over the last few months and the PCC has adopted a PCC Health and Safety Policy, which is based on the template provided by our insurance company.
That is effectively an overarching policy which sets out various principles. It will be underpinned by particular policies or procedures for particular matters. Most of those have been reviewed and approved although there are some others which are still being developed.
All of these documents are being provided on the church website as well as being available in church to make them as accessible as possible.
Christmas Events
The Christmas Concert by Wombourne Choral Society on 7th December has been confirmed.
There will be a carol singing event at Pattingham Club on 20th December.
Planning for the Christmas Tree Festival has started.
Annual Meeting – 12th May 2024
The Annual meeting took place after the morning service on 12th May and was attended by 31 parishioners.
Clive Pendrell and Dorothy Steel were re-elected Churchwardens.
Those members of the PCC who had reached the end of their term of office were re-elected and as no-one else volunteered to join the council the membership of the PCC remains the same as before.
In addition to the formal Annual Report and Accounts a number of other reports were presented and they are available on the church website. There is a wealth of information in them about a wide range of activities of the church and its members.
Tony Ainsworth had indicated that he did not wish to continue as Treasurer and Graham Tritton had agreed to take on the role. Graham was appointed as Treasurer at the PCC meeting after the annual meeting.
