We are looking for a Youth and Family Worker

We have reached an important milestone in our church’s development. For some years the PCC has been discussing the possibility of employing someone who would be able to grow our ministry with young people and families outside the church community and to encourage them to become more involved with the church so that our church can become a more inclusive, all age community of faith.

After much planning we are now able to start the process to recruit a Youth and Family Worker. The job is now being advertised. It was posted on Facebook and posters are in various locations in the village. We are sending details to other churches in the area so that they can also advertise it.

We need everybody’s help in spreading the word as widely as possible. If you are on facebook please “like” the posts (which means facebook is more likely to show it to others) and share the posts with any groups or individuals which you think might be interested. If you know anyone who might be suitable please tell them about it and encourage them to consider applying. Please also keep this in your prayers.

The closing date is not until 14th September so we have time to spread the word. Further details can be found below.

This is an exciting development for St Chad’s and we look forward to being able to recruit an inspiring and enthusiastic person to pioneer new work that will enable young people and families to encounter the love of God and become part of our church as a more inclusive, all age community of faith.

The Well – the Wolverhampton Food Bank

The Well

The Well continues to need our donations and prayers.

The box remains at the rear of the church for donations of food and toiletries and the wishing well for donations of cash. Foreign coins can be put into the wishing well (in a separate bag please) and they will also go to help the needy in Wolverhampton and the surrounding area.

We are extremely grateful for all donations. If you are looking for ideas on what to donate to The Well at the moment, the following are in short supply:
    • UHT Milk
    • Male Toiletries
    • Tinned Vegetables
    • Pasta Sachets
    • Rice Pudding
    • Custard

At The Well we take our inspiration from Jesus Himself. We look back at His life and, even though He was the Son of God, His mission on earth was ‘to serve’, not ’to be served’.

As you think about how you might support The Well, maybe your ‘service’ is to hold us regularly in your prayers, maybe it is to support us financially if you are able, maybe to donate some food or  encourage those around you to do so, or maybe it is to offer some of your time to The Well.

Many thanks for your continued support.
