‘Churchwardens’ Chat’

We are now in an interregnum following the retirement of the Vicar and so the monthly letter for the Parish News is written by the Churchwardens

All I have needed Thy hand hath provided, Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me
Thomas Chisholm, 1923

Did you come into church over Easter and see the beautiful flowers?
We thank Margaret Harris and the whole team of Flower Guild members for truly magnificent displays.

We also wish to thank Martin, Kath and the choir for the wonderful Easter music, especially the new anthems. We are most grateful to you all, taking time to give freely of your talents to enhance our worship and bring the joy of Easter into our hearts!

What a super Pets Service we enjoyed on Sunday April 7, the dogs were all well behaved and it was good to meet the two lovely hamsters (and all the owners of course!)!

Thinking of dogs, are you going to join us on our Rogation Sunday walk on Sunday, May 5? Bring the dog and enjoy a lovely walk from Pattingham Church to St. Mary’s Church Patshull.

If you haven’t got a dog just enjoy the walk, even if you come on your own there will be lots of friendly people to walk with. If this walk is too far, then do come in your car or contact us if you need a lift.

Refreshments (super cake!) will be served on arrival before a short service in the lovely St. Mary’s.

Fete Day is Saturday, July 6: can you help on the day or sell some raffle tickets beforehand? If so, please get in touch with Alix and Keith ().

Do you know of anyone unable to get to church who would like Home Communion? Do contact us and we will arrange for them to receive a visit.

Disappointingly, we did not receive any applicants for the 0.5 post of vicar but we are determined to do more than simply carry on. We have lots of exciting developments planned and the PCC team will ensure we continue God’s work with duty and joy.

We cannot do it without you, so please continue to work with us, share your ideas and most of all pray with us.

God Bless,

Clive Pendrell and Dorothy Steel,
Churchwardens
